GWM Malaysia has made a bold statement at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026, showcasing a highly diverse, all-scenario automotive line-up under the strategic theme 'For Every User, For Every Journey'

By uniting its various sub-brands — namely HAVAL, TANK, WEY, and ORA — the carmaker aims to demonstrate how different hybrid and electric powertrains can seamlessly adapt to the distinct lifestyles, commuting patterns, and driving conditions in Malaysia.

The key highlights at the showcase are the future-facing national previews of the ORA 5 HEV and the HAVAL H7 Hi4 PHEV

The ORA 5 HEV marks a significant evolutionary step for the ORA brand in Malaysia, shifting its local identity beyond a niche, electric-only manufacturer into a broader lifestyle mobility player under the unified ONE GWM framework.

This compact urban crossover SUV blends an organic design philosophy, described as 'Born from Nature, Made for the City', with immense everyday practicality for young urban professionals and style-conscious couples.

Powered by GWM's brand-new Hi2 intelligent hybrid system, which meticulously coordinates the engine, battery, and transmission to balance low fuel usage with high performance, the vehicle generates a maximum output of 223PS and 476Nm of torque.

It completes the 0 to 100km/h sprint in 7.7 seconds, returns an impressive fuel consumption rating of just 4.4L per 100km, and delivers an approximate driving range exceeding 1,100km. That's power and efficiency rolled into one package.

Catering to the growing demand for rugged adventure vehicles, GWM also took the wraps off the HAVAL H7 Hi4 PHEV

Positioned as a new energy, boxy urban off-road SUV, this model introduces local drivers to GWM's next-generation Hybrid Intelligent 4WD (Hi4) technology.

This system intelligently distributes power across the front and rear axles to provide the traction of an all-wheel-drive system alongside the exceptional energy efficiency of a two-wheel-drive setup, a trait highly relevant for navigating torrential Malaysian rainstorms and unpredictable weekend terrains.

The HAVAL H7 produces a commanding 370PS and 75Nm of torque, hitting 100km/h from a standstill in just 6.2 seconds while offering up to 150km of pure electric range on the CLTC cycle and over 1,000km of combined range.

Built on a sturdy monocoque body, the H7 features a 25-degree approach angle, a 32-degree departure angle, and an electronically controlled rear differential lock, differentiating it from the more extreme, hardcore TANK 300 4×4 ecosystem by prioritising everyday family comfort and urban utility.

Alongside these new previews, GWM also displayed its current Malaysian lineup

These include the family-oriented HAVAL H6 HEV, the adventurous TANK 300 HEV and TANK 500 HEV models, the lifestyle-led ORA Good Cat EV, and the premium WEY G9 Hi4 PHEV flagship MPV, which represents the pinnacle of locally assembled luxury under the brand's 'First Class for All' philosophy.

GWM Malaysia clarified that both the ORA 5 HEV and HAVAL H7 Hi4 PHEV are strictly preview units, meaning final localised specifications, market availability, and retail pricing structures will only be announced through official channels closer to their respective launch dates.
