The Apple Keynote on Wednesday, 9 September, was more impressive and interesting than usual, with the company introducing the new iPhone 18 lineup, including its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo

As with any major tech event, the memes were just as interesting.

One popular meme claimed that Apple manipulated a model's hand to make it appear as though they could easily hold onto the Duo's 16.46cm width when unfolded.

Then came another meme, or rather, mockery from the Internet, after netizens claimed that the brand-new iPhone 18 Pro had been edited onto BLACKPINK's Rosé's hand in an Apple Instagram post

The photo was posted yesterday, 10 September, with Rosé holding a burgundy iPhone 18 Pro.

However, some netizens were quick to point out that the phone's colour and lighting appeared inconsistent with its surroundings, leading them to speculate that it had been digitally edited into the photo.

"Girl, it looks edited," read the top comment, which received 90,500 likes

"C'mon @apple, couldn't you guys give her a real phone?" wrote one content creator.

"Why does it look like photoshop?" said a netizen, while another asked, "Y'all didn't send her the real one?"

Even Samsung joined in on the joke, saying, "If you needed a real phone you could have just asked us."

Rosé is reportedly the first celebrity to unbox the new flagship iPhone

She is set to release a music video shot entirely on iPhone 18 Pro on 17 September, titled New Trick.

The music video is directed by American music video director Dave Meyers, who also helmed the video for BLACKPINK's chart-topping 2025 single Jump.
