Malaysia Airlines' New A330neo Will Feature 13.3-Inch 4K Displays In Economy

Malaysia Airlines has unveiled its all-new A330neo business class and economy class cabin designs in a promotional video
Uploaded on YouTube last Friday, 7 June, Malaysia Airlines said it is excited to introduce its premium cabins, having recently received the 'Cabin Concept of the Year' award at the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo 2024 in Hamburg, Germany.

The airline is poised to receive its first Airbus A330neo in the coming months, which will come fitted with all-new interiors.
To recap, Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the parent company of Malaysia Airlines, has selected 20 Airbus A330-900 (A330neo) aircraft to replace its current generation wide-body planes, with three scheduled to enter service this year.

The airline said it will be using new Recaro CL3810 seats in economy, which are ergonomically designed and come with enhanced support and amenities such as coat hooks, a cup holder, and ample stowage.
The seat covers throughout the cabin will feature the airline's signature songket motif, with a total of 269 seats arranged in a 2-4-2 layout.
Each passenger will also enjoy a 13.3-inch 4K in-flight entertainment display, which is a huge upgrade from the current 11-inch 1080p screen in economy.
Business class travellers will also enjoy individual suites, featuring the airline's first business class seats equipped with their own sliding doors for better privacy
Malaysia Airlines' A330neo planes will introduce the Collins Aerospace Elevation seat, capable of going fully flat, and featuring wireless charging pads and a larger 17.3-inch 4K screen.
There are a total of 28 business class seats on the A330neo laid out in a 1-2-1 configuration, which allows cabin crew direct access to all passengers.
Malaysia Airlines has selected Melbourne, Australia as its first A330neo commercial flight destination in quarter three of 2024.
