Despite SOCAR pulling its managed fleet from Malaysian roads, users will still be able to rent cars through its sister platform TREVO.

Rolled out in 2020, TREVO operates on a peer-to-peer model that allows individual car owners to list their vehicles for rent.

For drivers relying on short-term car rentals, SOCAR's shutdown marks a major shift in the local urban car-sharing landscape.
