Amelia Henderson Ordered To Pay RM213,000 To Production Company For Breaching Contract

The Court of Civil Sessions has ordered Malaysian actress Amelia Henderson to pay a fine of RM213,000 to A Aida Productions Sdn Bhd

Amelia was given the fine after she had reportedly breached her contract with the production company, reported Harian Metro.

Judge Zulqarnain Hassan also ordered the actress to apologise and delete a video that she had uploaded on her social media, which contained defamatory statements about the company.

The trial began on 1 November last year and finally reached its conclusion today, 7 April

Three witnesses from the plaintiff, including Zaidah Awang, popularly known as Datuk A Aida, and three witnesses from the defendant, including Amelia, testified during the trial.

During the trial, Fazeyla Ahmad, 42, the production manager of A Aida Production, reportedly told the court that the company had to bear losses due to Amelia's breach of the agreement.

Amelia, on the other hand, steadfastly denied breaching the contract when she accepted an offer to star in the drama, Sekali Lagi Cinta Kembali.

A Aida and Rizal Baharuddin, the director of the drama Sekali Lagi Cinta Kembali, agreed to take the case to court.

The suit between A Aida and Idris, on the other hand, ended well when both parties agreed to settle out of court. As for Amelia, she decided to go to trial for the case.
