GSC Berjaya Times Square Will Be Closing Down Permanently... Again
Its last screenings will be held on 26 November.
Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) recently announced the closure of its Berjaya Times Square outlet after 17 years of operation
In a statement this past weekend, GSC said its final screenings will take place on 26 November, with official closure scheduled for the following day on 27 November.
Thanking customers for their support, the cinema shared that while this chapter is closing for this specific outlet, the public can still continue to enjoy movies at the next nearest outlet, GSC LaLaport BBCC.
The Berjaya Times Square outlet, which has been in operation since its inauguration on 17 January 2005, is considered to be one of the oldest cinemas in KL
Initially declared permanently closed during the pandemic in January 2021, the outlet later reopened after a 10-month hiatus. The reopening served as an interim measure while awaiting the launch of its newer outlet in LaLaport BBCC in August 2023.
In response to the recent announcement of its closure, people expressed gratitude to the cinema and shared some of their fond memories at the outlet.
