A Malaysian couple has gained netizens' attention with a unique game at their wedding reception: a lucky draw wheel that rewarded guests with cryptocurrencies
In an Instagram post yesterday, 24 February, JK, a Singaporean radio host and event emcee, shared his experience attending Jonathan Quek and Lee Yvonne's wedding.
Calling it "Malaysia's wedding of the year", JK said the couple's wedding was held at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur, a five-star hotel near KL Sentral.
The lucky draw wheel featured three different cryptocurrencies with varying amounts for guests to win.
Below is the breakdown of the available prizes and their estimated values based on their prices today, 25 February:
– 500,000 Pepe coins: RM16.51
– 1,000,000 Pepe coins: RM33.02
– 1,500,000 Pepe coins: RM49.53
– 2,000,000 Pepe coins: RM66.04
– 100 Doge coins: RM88.99
– 150 Doge coins: RM133.49
– 200 Doge coins: RM177.99
– 0.1 Solana: RM60.54
– 0.5 Solana: RM302.68

JK spun the wheel and won 150 Doge coins, which equates to USD34.48, or about RM152.48 (the price of Doge has fallen about 17% since the weekend)
In an Instagram Story, JK said he received the coins in his Bitunix cryptocurrency exchange account.
"Whoa, Jonathan Quek's wedding crypto wheel is legit leh. Actually had winnings deposited," wrote JK in the caption.

According to the radio host, Lee is a model who won the Miss World Malaysia pageant in 2012, and Quek is a cryptocurrency trader and coach.
JK and Lee are friends who participated in season five of The Amazing Race Asia 10 years ago.
