A recent TikTok of a busker getting cheered on by a large group of Malaysians on the streets of Bukit Bintang has been going viral

In a clip that was uploaded to the TikTok page of OKEY CUN, an expat can be seen singing Zombie (1994) by Irish rock band The Cranberries.

As the video continued, the recorder pans to a multitude of Malaysians dancing and singing along with her, including children. There was also a drum player in the background, as well as a few guitarists jamming out to the tune of the song.

Whipping their phones out, multiple people recorded the mini-performance and waved their hands in the air. The three-minute TikTok ended with a guitar solo by one of the band members.

After doing some sleuthing, SAYS discovered that the performers are a local band known as Cahaya Buskers, a group that often performs on the streets of Bukit Bintang. Known for their busking sessions, the band frequently invite random people to come and sing with them as they play music for their performance.

At the time of writing, the TikTok has received more than two million views and over 180,000 likes on the platform, with many Malaysians praising the performance

One commenter praised the expat's singing ability, while another said that the reaction of the crowd gave them concert vibes.

"Her voice really suits the song," wrote one user.

A number of people also said that the singer must have felt particularly excited and appreciative of those around her who were hyping her up during the performance.

"She must be proud to come to Malaysia, people are enjoying it," penned another user.
