A cat in Taiwan has left the Internet gushing over its cuteness after it was recently seen performing with a busker

A TikTok video posted by @0110maojian shows the animal 'singing' a popular Mandarin love song, Xue Mao Jiao, by Cheney F and Pan Wenfeng.

According to Mothership, there's a line in the song which features the sound a cat makes. The line simply translates to "We can learn to meow like cats, we go meow, meow, meow, meow, meow".

Naturally, the cat has a special role to play during the performance.

Its moment to shine comes when the singer sings the line with the first four 'meows', then leaves the cat to sing the last 'meow'

Another performer carries the cat to the microphone as the feline lets out a 'meow'.

The crowd bursts out in laughter that even the performer can't help but chuckle as he continues singing the rest of the song.

This goes on a couple more times, with the cat improving in beat each time and singing its part perfectly in tune

After the song ends, the talented 'artiste' is carried like Simba in The Lion King, while the crowd applauds and cheers for it.

The guy carrying the cat then puts it down to let it walk back into what appears to be its bed in front of the tip box.

The video, which has been played over 27.1 million times, has received lots of love from people all over the world, with some saying that the rising star's salary is probably some kibble, treats, or fish.

According to its Instagram, the cat's name is Fat Niu, which translated from Mandarin actually means 'fat cow'

In the TikTok bio, it states, 'The pride of Hualien Hakka', implying that the buskers are located in Taiwan.

Fat Niu was adopted by one of the buskers. Mothership reported that the owner gave a brief background on Fat Niu in a recent Instagram Story, explaining that the cat "is not his prop, but a source of comfort".

He also added that Fat Niu was abandoned in the past, but after "continuous tender loving care, it is now comfortable around people."

"I did not train Fat Niu, but just showered it with love. I'll bring Fat Niu out later to meet everyone," he wrote in the story.

Fat Niu, may you always have the last meow <3
