Rapid KL's social media pages have a combined total of about 400,000 followers, serving as important sources of information regarding all aspects of public transport, from schedules to service disruptions

Despite the significant responsibility the pages carry, there's no harm in Rapid KL presenting information in a quirky way, is there?

That is exactly what the public transport company has been doing lately with its wacky meme videos.

Love cat memes? This Instagram Reel has 390,000 views! Rapid KL used the viral 'Chipi Chipi Chapa Chapa' song to inform commuters about bus lanes in our cities.

Watch it below:

On 5 March, Rapid KL did it again by using the popular banana cat meme to depict a 'crying child' with bad grades who's dreading to go home to tell their mum the bad news. However, because the bus system is so efficient, they arrive home earlier than expected, unable to delay their mum's fury.

Watch it below:

Just yesterday, 10 March, Rapid KL uploaded a video replacing its buses with colourful cats to inform netizens about the new bus lane on Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur:

Here is one more cat meme video that has over 632,000 views:

Meanwhile, here's a video depicting a commuter's struggle standing next to another commuter who smells bad:

On TikTok, Rapid KL takes on a different persona: a K-pop stan!

On 18 February, Rapid KL posted an aesthetic video of an LRT passing through Menara UAB in the capital city.

The reason it went viral and garnered over 460,000 views is that the video used a song from the K-pop boy band, Day6.

"Day6 = follow :')," read a top comment.

Watch the video below:

Here are two more videos from Rapid KL, featuring songs by Day6:

Let's not forget this legendary video posted on 16 February, showing Rapid KL employees passionately dancing to the beat of Ne-Yo's song, Closer:

Across all social media platforms, netizens have been commending Rapid KL for creating relatable and entertaining content to raise awareness about the public transport system

"The best admin. [These videos] can attract and educate more users, especially school students," read a comment.

"Admin has been cooking real good," wrote an Instagram user, while another added, "Raise the editor's salary!"
