A tubby oyen named Bubble took the Internet by storm after his owner, @warnabilla, posted a tweet showing the round kitty looking snug in his baju Melayu

The tweet, posted on 27 February, showed images of the cat in a green baju Melayu and sampin that couldn't be buttoned up. Nabilla stated in a reply that she even bought the largest size available. The tweet has since garnered over 10,300 likes and 4,000 retweets.

"Today's sad story: Bubble's baju Raya is tight. Can't even button it up," Nabilla wrote in her tweet.

"So sad. I love the colour. Bubble can't even walk, he can only roll around. Bubble is definitely a gorgon at this point," she wrote in an additional tweet with Bubble looking unapologetically adorable in his Raya clothes.

Bubble was adopted by Nabilla two years ago, and was already a round kitty when she took him in

Nabilla first laid eyes on Bubble around six years ago when she saw the chonky cat wandering the streets. She found out through his previous owner that Bubble ran away because he did not get along with the other cats in his previous home. After some time being a stray cat, Nabilla decided to adopt Bubble and keep his name.

She clarified in her replies to concerned commenters that Bubble is a healthy but old cat that was already obese when she adopted him. She is putting Bubble on weight management kibbles and has been taking good care of him.

Malaysians were amused at how round Bubble is, and suggested that the cat should fast during the upcoming fasting season

"He can slim down during fasting month," one user jokingly commented.

Others complimented Bubble for being a paw-some trendsetter.

"It's a trend to wear slim fit baju Melayu now," one Twitter user commented under Nabilla's post.

"It became a V-neck instead," another user wrote.

One user even said that the baju Melayu looked more like a pillowcase on Bubble.

Some helpful Malaysians suggested that Nabilla should buy children-sized clothing for Bubble.

Whatever the size, you will always be beautiful just the way you are, Bubble <3

Oyens are probably the most notorious cat breeds, doing the oddest of things at the weirdest of places. Check out more oyen stories here:
