When visiting a different country, one thing travellers should always remember is to change their money to the currency of the nation they're going to

However, sometimes we forget amidst all the planning and packing. This was the case faced by Hana, a Japanese girl who lives in Malaysia.

In a recent trip she made to Singapore, Hana documented a slight inconvenience she faced after ordering a Grab. Unfortunately, she forgot to change the currency of the money she was carrying, only having Malaysian Ringgit in her wallet

Luckily for Hana, her Grab driver allowed her to pay for her ride in ringgit.

Posting a snippet of the incident to her TikTok page, Hana shared that her Grab ride had cost SGD24 (approximately RM80). The rider in the video can be seen calculating the amount he needed to return to Hana, before giving her change in Singaporean Dollars.

After Hana thanked the uncle for accepting payment in Malaysian Ringgit, he advised her to book Grabs using a debit or credit card while she's in Singapore, to avoid the same issue cropping up again.

He also helped direct her to a bank outlet, which is visible in the clip, for her to change her ringgit to Singaporean Dollars.

The TikTok has garnered almost 500,000 views and 30,000 likes since being posted on the platform

A plethora of people praised the Grab driver for being kind and accepting money from Hana in ringgit, as she made an honest mistake.

"Not all drivers will be that kind, thank you for your kind help!" wrote one user.

A few people even said that the uncle may be a frequenter to Malaysia, so he probably needed the money should he be making any trips.

"Maybe uncle wanted to go to Genting over the weekend, save him the trouble!" joked one user.

However, one of the most surprising comments came from the official TikTok page of Grab Singapore, who asked for the identity of the driver who dropped Hana off

At this time of writing, there has been no update as to if Grab Singapore has received the uncle's information.
