A Malaysian man has recently set off on a remarkable solo road trip around the world in his trusty 20-year-old Perodua Kenari

According to The Star, 47-year-old Jack Voon Kuet Fei aims to drive over 200,000km across 108 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, and South America.

He expects the journey to take about three years and has equipped himself and his car for the adventure of a lifetime.

At the flag-off ceremony for his trip last Wednesday, 1 May, Jack said he has dreamt of travelling the world and experiencing the vastness of the globe since he was a young boy

Hailing from Kuching, Sarawak, he, however, candidly confessed that the demands of his professional life had been deterring him from attempting his dream.

"As I entered my 40s, I felt a pang of regret for allowing work to consume me," he said, as quoted by Dayak Daily.

Having saved diligently for the past four years, Jack's plans have finally come to fruition

His Perodua Kenari has been quipped with essential long-distance driving accessories, including a solar panel, mini fridge, mini stove, spare battery, heating system, and even a sleeping cabin on the roof that is capable of withstanding low temperatures.

The entire trip would cost him an estimated RM860,000, covering all kinds of expenses from fuel and meals to telecommunications, accommodation, insurance, vaccines, and visa fees.

The digital content creator added that he would be documenting his journey and creating videos to update his followers on social media
