If you have UNIQLO clothes that you've grown out of or would like to donate them to the underprivileged and homeless, you can now do so by dropping them off at any UNIQLO store in Malaysia

Under the initiative, '10,000 Ways to Help', the Japanese apparel retailer aims to collect 10,000 pieces of pre-loved clothing to distribute to homeless centres nationwide this Ramadan.

The initiative is in collaboration with the Malaysian Relief Agency, a humanitarian organisation, and the Kuala Lumpur Homeless Transit Centre, where UNIQLO established its first clothing corner in October.

Collections have already begun. All you need to do is drop off your reusable UNIQLO clothes at recycling boxes stationed at all UNIQLO stores from now until 23 May.

As part of the initiative, UNIQLO will also be donating 10,000 AIRism masks to the homeless communities.

If you're keen to join the clothing handover ceremony at the Kuala Lumpur Homeless Transit Centre, you can register at any of their Klang Valley stores.

"Our '10,000 Ways to Help' initiative offers our customers the opportunity to repurpose their clothes in a meaningful and sustainable way, that is not only in line with the festive season's practice of showing empathy for those who are less fortunate, but also UNIQLO's recycling efforts," shared UNIQLO Singapore and Malaysia chief executive officer Yuki Yamada.

The KL Homeless Transit Centre helps those on the street get back on their feet by giving them access to proper clothing as they seek jobs:
