Located behind a clothing store to add to its mysterious and exclusive appeal, Backdoor Bodega is a speakeasy-style cocktail bar in George Town, known for its inventive and flavorful cocktails.
They call themselves an "overpriced pin shop" with an ever-changing menu, featuring locally sourced ingredients such as ulam, belacan, Penang-made soy sauce, nutmeg fruit, and more.
It even earned a reputation as the first-ever Penang bar to be listed among 100 of Asia's best bars by Asia's 50 Best Bars in 2022.
