A businessman who died in a car crash last week was honoured with a convoy of 11 supercars and a Rolls-Royce yesterday, 4 July

According to the New Straits Times, the 62-year-old man, Fung Swee Yen, lost his life in a fatal accident at KM57 of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway at 8.45am on 30 June while driving his Lamborghini Huracan.

Oriental Daily reported that Fung, who held a Datukship, was driving his supercar with six other friends to Bentong, Pahang, to eat durian.

During the journey, he reportedly lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a divider on the highway. Members of the public rescued a 47-year-old female passenger from the front seat after the supercar caught fire.

To pay their last respects, Fung's family and friends organised a convoy of supercars to accompany his hearse on Thursday

According to China Press, the convoy included five Lamborghinis, two Ferraris, two Porsches, a Mercedes-Benz, and a Nissan GTR.

Nearly a hundred people, including members of the Singapore and Malaysia supercar club, were present to send Fung off.

His daughter told reporters that the hearse and the convoy drove past her father's electric metre parts factory in Kota Damansara in Petaling Jaya before heading to the funeral ceremony in Kuala Lumpur.
