Hannah Yeoh Pledges RM20,000 To Teacher Who Built Bowling Alley For Students
She hopes he'll use the money to build more bowling alleys for the children.
A teacher who went viral for creating bowling alleys for his students has now received government sponsorship to expand his initiative and set up a bowling facility
Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh contacted Wan Roslan Wan Ishak last week after reading about how he took the initiative to build bowling alleys for students at SK Nami, Kedah.
Wan Roslan constructed the makeshift bowling alleys using plywood and plastic pipes, so that the students could practise during their break times.
Speaking to SAYS, Yeoh mentioned that after learning about his efforts, she decided to pledge RM20,000 to help the teacher buy more materials and build more makeshift bowling alleys for the children.

Wan Roslan previously mentioned that it costs roughly RM1,000 to build one bowling alley, and although he has received donations to set them up, he sometimes pays out of his own pocket
His efforts received praise from the public and unexpectedly caught the attention of the Segambut member of parliament herself.
Last week, Yeoh shared an Instagram Story of her chatting with Wan Roslan about his initiative.

Wan Roslan initially shared the video just to showcase what the students do for fun, not realising it would go viral:
