According to Bernama, Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa announced that 200 officers from various departments and districts within the Kuala Lumpur police force will be involved in the operation.

These officers will be tasked with taking action against drivers who violate traffic laws during this period.

In a tweet today, the Transport Ministry outlined the six types of offences that Kuala Lumpur police will focus on:
– traffic obstruction
– stopping beyond the white line at traffic lights
– faulty licence plate
– using a mobile phone while driving
– offences committed by motorcyclists
– offences committed by underaged motorcyclists

"Road users are advised to always obey the rules and drive prudently for the safety of road users, as well as to maintain the image of Kuala Lumpur as the capital city," Rusdi said

Last year, the operation was carried out in two phases: Phase 1 was conducted from 3 July 2023 to 31 July 2023, and Phase 2 conducted was from 15 September 2023 to 29 September 2023.

The Kuala Lumpur police chief said members of the public can contact the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Hotline at +603-2071 9999 or the Kuala Lumpur Police Hotline at +603-2115 9999 for more information.
