According to the New Straits Times, the unlucky paratrooper was Corporal Mohd Zahier Zainol Abidin from the Royal Malay Regiment's 18th Battalion (18 RAMD Para).
An official statement from the Army Headquarters confirmed that Mohd Zahier was the sixth jumper in the third sortie of the exercise.
Everything was going according to plan — until he approached his landing zone.
That's when the wind decided to stir things up, quite literally, pushing him off course and straight into an unsuspecting motorcyclist.
