Police Officer Dresses Up As A Capybara For Drug Bust In Peru

Peruvian police dressed up for Valentine's Day as a capybara to detain a person suspected of drug trafficking on Thursday, 13 February
In a video shared by the police, a large capybara wearing a turtle backpack with hearts on his back is seen helping other officers detain a man inside a home in the town of Lurin, south of Lima.
According to colonel Pedro Rojas, the head of the police's Green Squad, the costume helped as 'camouflage'. Authorities also found 1,700 packages of cocaine and marihuana, Peruvian Police posted on X.

This police unit often dresses its agents up as famous characters while they carry out operations during holiday periods, such as Halloween and Christmas.
Agents have also dressed up as superheroes, as well as horror movie characters Freddy Krueger and Jason.
