#Budget2025: JAKIM Adding 100 Auditors To Speed Up Halal Certification Issuance

To expedite the issuance of halal certifications, JAKIM will increase its number of halal auditors by 100, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said while tabling the 2025 Budget in Parliament today, 18 October
Additionally, the MYeHALAL system will be improved to integrate 20 government agencies and 100 international halal certification bodies under a single platform to bolster local halal companies and expand their reach internationally.
According to Anwar, Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad (BPMB) and SME Bank will offer nearly RM600 million in dedicated financing for halal SMEs, while Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan Berhad (SJPP) will guarantee up to 80% of halal SME financing, with guarantees valued at RM1 billion.
The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation will receive RM20 million to drive the capacity growth of more halal enterprises, making them more competitive in the global market, he said.
