A video of a Malaysian motorcyclist running a red light at a T-intersection recently went viral on Facebook

In the one-minute clip uploaded on We Are Malaysians' page, the man can be seen waiting for the traffic light to turn green, but after a lorry from the opposite side passes him, he dashes away and runs the red light.

While the man believes he is safe and that there will be no consequences for running the red light, he seems unaware that several traffic officers are right behind him and continues speeding.

An officer then appears from the side and accelerates to stop the man from fleeing

At first, the man does not realise that he is being pursued by the officers and continues to ride his motorcycle for another 30 seconds.

One of the officers then overtakes his vehicle and signals for him to pull over to the side of the road, at which point he slows down and comes to a complete stop.

He is then given a fine by the officers for the traffic violation.
