Part-Time Singer Found Dead In Melaka, Allegedly Killed By Lover After Quarrel
The 52-year-old victim is survived by three children.
A part-time singer was found dead in her rented room in Pokok Mangga, Melaka over the weekend, allegedly killed by her live-in boyfriend
According to China Press, the incident took place in a house with four rented rooms in Taman Seri Mangga Section 1.
A female housemate discovered the alleged murder after hearing the 52-year-old victim quarrelling with her boyfriend on Friday night, 21 February.
Concerned, she knocked on the victim's door the next morning to check on her.
The boyfriend initially dismissed her concerns, but when she persisted, the housemate caught a glimpse of the victim lying motionless on the bed through a crack in the door. She immediately contacted a friend, who then informed the police.

Upon arrival, police found the victim, identified as 52-year-old Lin An Qi (transliteration) from Sibu, Sarawak, lying bloodied on the bed, while her boyfriend remained in the room
Malaysia Gazette reported that the boyfriend had minor knife wounds, and two small knives were found at the scene. He was immediately arrested and taken to the hospital for treatment
Lin, a married woman of three, had been a resident singer in several hawker centres in Melaka for many years and was known for her friendly nature.
Lin's friends told China Press that she moved in with her boyfriend from Penang about six months ago.
They knew about her marital status and children but remained largely unfamiliar with her boyfriend, respecting Lin's privacy regarding her personal life.
Lin's husband and three children, including a set of twins, rushed to the scene upon receiving the news but were barred from entering the house as police examined the crime scene.
The motive behind the murder is still under investigation.
