Scammers Are Using AI To Create Fake Videos Of Khairul Aming To Sell Things

Influencer and entrepreneur Khairul Aming has alerted his fans to a troubling trend where scammers are using AI to create fake videos of him to promote products on social media
On his Instagram page, the content creator expressed growing concern about the issue.
"The slander is becoming more widespread," he said.
He shared an example of a fraudulent Facebook account using his name and a deepfake video to advertise a cooking wok. The fake post also claimed that his warehouse had been flooded and that products were being sold at discounted prices.

He particularly warned his fans to caution the elderly not to believe everything they see online, and to conduct some research to avoid falling for these deceptive tactics.
He also reiterated that he does not sell any gadgets or kitchen appliances. Among the fake videos he has seen include him promoting Apple Watches, blenders, and cookware.
"I do not sell anything other than Sambal Nyet and Dendeng Nyet," he emphasised.
