PDRM Hunting Man Who Stabbed Ice Cream Shop Employee 8 Times With A Penknife In Shah Alam

The police are searching for a man who stabbed an employee at least eight times with a penknife at an ice cream parlour in Shah Alam on Monday, 12 August
Shah Alam police chief ACP Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the police received a report on the incident from the victim's brother at 11.40pm on the same day, reported the New Straits Times.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the attacker entered the ice cream parlour at 11.30am while the victim was alone.
"The suspect, a man of unknown race, was wearing a face mask and attempted to rob the victim with a penknife, but was stopped by her.
"The victim sustained injuries after being stabbed by the suspect and was treated at Shah Alam Hospital.
"A review of the CCTV footage has successfully revealed the suspect's face, and the police are actively working to trace and apprehend him," he said in a statement yesterday, 13 August.
The victim was discharged from the hospital at 1am yesterday
The case is currently being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt during a robbery, reported Bernama.
CCTV footage showing different angles of the incident has gone viral on social media.
The victim is seen trying to escape from the attacker during the incident. When the attacker retreats, he charges at the victim again, stabbing her at least eight times.
Despite the attack, the victim stands up shortly after.
