A man destroyed the items including the cashier machine at a coffee shop in Ipoh Garden East. All because he was asked to wear a mask.

According to a post in a public Facebook group, the coffee shop owner reminded him to wear a face mask, a mandatory requirement in public spaces under the COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).

The man refused to listen, following which other customers reprimanded him.

He then left the shop but returned soon after with a wooden stick and started smashing things inside the shop. Photos and videos show a damaged cash register, a broken temperature scanner among other items.
