A video of a woman trying to force a cat off her car's tyre by reversing her vehicle recently went viral on Twitter

In the 43-second clip shared by user @AsyrafRosli_, the woman can be seen smiling while her friends were standing nearby, watching her attempt to remove the cat.

The video seems to show the driver trying to get rid of the cat without stepping into a puddle that her car was parked in.

The driver reversed her Perodua Kancil several times as the cat struggled to hang onto the tyre each time the vehicle rolled backwards.

She also stopped her car a few times to make sure the cat had gone away. However, fearing for its life, the stray animal continued to struggle and grip the tyre tightly.

The cat eventually escaped to safety, but not before its foot was stuck for awhile at the bottom of the car.

Netizens were enraged by the video and expressed their displeasure in the comments section

One user commented that the driver's actions were not funny and they could have simply removed the cat by carrying it and putting it out of the way.

"Would you have died if you stepped into the puddle to move the cat?" another commented.
