Now, you can trade up to 1,000 Malaysian and 9,000 US stocks through just a few taps on Moomoo.

Futu Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Moomoo MY) is one of the first global digital brokerage firms to be granted the Capital Market Services License by the Securities Commission Malaysia. This allows them to offer securities and derivatives trading, as well as clearing services for both.

What makes Moomoo stand out is its simple-to-use interface that is jam-packed with tools and resources, perfect for seasoned investors and financial newbies alike

"Moomoo seamlessly combines accessibility and a comprehensive suite of tools and educational resources, providing an investment experience that breaks through traditional boundaries. Our platform is tailored to transform the way people invest, and empower Malaysian investors with the tools and resources they need to not only participate, but succeed in the financial markets," said Dennis Jee, COO of Moomoo Malaysia.

During Moomoo’s opening ceremony in Kuala Lumpur today, Jee also noted how Moomoo has become one of the top investment apps for Singaporeans since it entered the market in 2021. One in four Singaporeans now use Moomoo to invest.

"Moomoo's entry into Malaysia underscores our dedication to empowering various financial markets through technology. Malaysia with a relatively young population has seen a growing interest in self-directed investing… There exists a clear demand for innovative investment solution," shared Robin Xu, Senior Partner and Senior Vice President of Southeast Asia and Oceania at Futu Holdings Limited.

Here's a first look at the app and its features:

Account opening reward:
You'll get access to Malaysia Stock Level 1 Market Depth data and US Stock Level 2 Market Depth data.

Tier 1 reward:
If you successfully open a Moomoo universal account, deposit RM500 (and hold assets for 30 days), you'll receive RM100 in cash and stock cash coupons.

Tier 2 reward:
Between now and 31 March, new users who successfully open a Moomoo universal account and deposit RM8,000 (and maintain the assets for 30 days) will be eligible to redeem a free Apple share.

Besides that, there are various ongoing promotions on the app — you can earn points by completing tasks and redeem all kinds of rewards, ranging from Grab vouchers to limited edition merch.

Not sure if you're ready to invest? You can even make use of Moomoo's 'Papertrade' feature, which lets you test trading stocks without using actual money.

With paper trading, investors get the chance to experiment with market trading and see what stock market investments are all about without having to risk losing any of their capital in the live market.

Essentially, it's like 'practice trading', and is great especially for new traders getting started with investing. However, paper trading can also be valuable for experienced investors who want to try out investment strategies or are looking to invest in unfamiliar areas.
