Marygrace Emerges Champion Of 'Calpis Soda OIAM' And Takes Home RM1 Million In Prizes

Keningau native Marygrace has emerged victorious in the reality singing competition Calpis Soda One In A Million (CSOIAM), claiming the title and a RM1 million prize package

The new star defeated three other contestants in the CSOIAM finale last night, 9 February.

She gave a soulful performance of a new song written for her, Titik Mula, and Freedom's Persamaan, winning the hearts of the audience and judges.

Datuk Yusry Abdul Halim praised her versatility, stating, "Any labels, producers, writers, and promoters would love to have you as a singer."

"In my life, I have seen many singers who can belt out songs. They have powerful vocals. But they might not be able to perform fast songs. And I have seen people who can perform fast songs cannot belt out songs. You can do both."

Guest judges Nicholas Saputra and Faizal Tahir also lauded Marygrace's performance.

Her victory secured her RM500,000 in cash and an additional RM500,000 worth of prizes

The prizes included a Peugeot 408 GT, a recording contract with Alternate Records, and a new song composed and produced by Indonesian music star Ade Govinda.

The results were determined by a 60/40 split between judges' scores and audience votes. Marygrace had already secured the most audience votes by the middle of the show, demonstrating her strong popularity.

Kai Deva was the runner-up, winning RM50,000. Jimi took third place and received RM30,000, while Zazzlen came in fourth, winning RM20,000.
