Oscar-winner Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh will be attending Harvard Law School's 2023 Class Day as a keynote speaker

According to an announcement released by Harvard Law Today last Wednesday, 5 April, Yeoh will be attending the ceremony at the esteemed law school in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on 24 May.

Harvard Law School's Class Day seeks to celebrate the graduating the class of the year, and will feature awards and speeches, including a keynote address by the actress herself.

The actress found the invitation especially "meaningful" because her father was a lawyer

Yeoh has expressed immense gratitude for the invitation from the university, noting that her own father was a lawyer, in a statement made to Harvard Law Today.

"We are thrilled to welcome Michelle Yeoh to campus to celebrate our commencement and help us mark this important milestone. As an acclaimed actress and advocate for so many important causes, she will undoubtedly inspire us, the Class of 2023, as we prepare to make a difference in our world and in peoples' lives," Dean of Students, Stephen Ball, wrote in an email sent out to the graduating law students.
