Have you ever seen another Malaysian walking under the scorching heat in a thick jacket and wondered why they're wearing such warm clothing?

Well, you're probably not the only one.

British content creator and freelance model based in Kuala Lumpur, Nicole Crewe, has made herself a notable personality on numerous social media platforms, including TikTok.

However, in a recent clip uploaded by the model to her TikTok page, Crewe came across numerous clothing items while browsing a ZARA outlet in KL. The puzzling range made her question why certain items were being sold there in the first place.

In the 15-second clip, Crewe simply asked why stores in Malaysia sell plenty of winter clothes. Showcasing some of the items on the racks, Crewe displayed a number of long-sleeved jackets, some of them lined with fur and wool.

Curiously looking at the items, Crewe stated that Malaysian temperature barely falls below 25°C to 23°C.

Though her question was innocent enough, a plethora of Malaysians took to the comments section and gave their take on the situation — some with gut-busting answers

Multiple Malaysians didn't hesitate to mention particular places across the nation, just to pull Crewe's leg.

"For a fashion show at Mount Kinabalu," wrote one person, while another person jokingly stated, "We have winter in Terengganu and Kelantan."

Some even mentioned Genting Highlands, and how it is already 'snowing' there.

Playing to the quip that filled the comments, others even joked about the temperature of the country, referencing Crewe's point about the weather.

"To get used to the heat for hell," jokingly wrote one person, while another said that Malaysians need the winter clothes as they are cold-hearted.

"FamilyMart is cold okay"

Adding to the humour, multiple Malaysians even came forward with day-to-day places that could be attributed to needing the winter clothes.

"Try to work in the office here, if the air conditioner could produce snow, it would," joked one person.

Beyond that, other comments even attributed the 'cold weather' to the cinemas, the MRT, air conditioning at shopping malls, and even retail shops such as MR DIY.

"We need it to enter FamilyMart," humorously added one user.

Nevertheless, one individual decided to address Crewe's genuine question, stating that Malaysians do travel to cold countries as well, and that tourists from other countries may need it when going back home after visiting Malaysia.
