In typical Asian mum fashion, a Malaysian woman decided to bring her 11-year-old son to the police station after he lied to her about completing his homework

The mother shared about the outing on her TikTok account, @syuhadazahri_911, saying she was glad it taught her son a lesson.

"His teacher messaged me to tell me that he didn't finish his homework, but when I asked him yesterday, he said that he had already finished it in school," the mother of five said in frustration.

"I'm so tired of scolding him, and he's getting so much older now. So, this time, I just sent him to the police," she wrote.

At the police station, she said she took her son to the officer on duty and pretended that she was bringing him in for not completing his homework.

"The police immediately understood what was happening and played along," Syuhada told Sinar Harian after the photo of her son sitting remorsefully at the police station went viral.

She said the police officer "interrogated" her son, took out handcuffs, and even showed him the police car while reprimanding him for not doing his homework.

"What made him the most sorry was when the police showed him the lockup. He cried and apologised repeatedly," said the mother.

She happily shared that her son has been on his best behaviour ever since

"My sweet boy. Alhamdulillah, he stayed off his phone all day yesterday and even finished his homework today," she wrote on TikTok, hoping that his good behaviour continues.

The video garnered over four million views, with fellow parents expressing amusement while joking that they would do the same

"I can't bring mine to the station, my children aren't scared because their dad is a police. What else can I do?" said a TikTok user.

"I recommend the police to start a special unit just for children who do not want to school, something like a prison, just to give them motivation to change like this little boy here," said another.

Meanwhile, another parent joked,"I showed this post to my son and he told me not to disturb the police, they already have a lot of work. Ugh. Tell me, are there any prison wardens who are free?"
