This Shop Sells Yakult, Haw Flakes & Paddle Pop Earrings Inspired By 'Kedai Runcit' Items
Accessorising just got a whole lot sweeter!
Ever see certain food or household items that immediately transport you back to the carefree days of your childhood?
Singaporean design studio wheniwasfour, known for their quirky lifestyle products, have come up with an earrings collection that will take you back the good ol' days.
Inspired by Mama shops (sundry shops) that have "sadly become one of the vanishing trades of Singapore", they released a new collection of 25 earrings designed after items commonly found in local grocery stores.
Chupa Chups, Haw Flakes, White Rabbit candy, and Paddle Pop ice cream - these are some classic sweet treats from back in the day that you can now use to accessorise
You can also rock adorable stud earrings inspired by go-to snacks like Mamee Monster, Yakult, chocolate milk, and spectacle chocolates
Not everyone instantly pictures candy when they're reminiscing about their childhood
For those who have fonder memories of essential household items that seem to never run out (thanks to mum), there's something for you too!
From the ointment your parents used to slather on your mosquito bites, to Asian kitchen must-haves like soy sauce, sesame oil, rice, and condensed milk - wheniwasfour thought of pretty much everything.
There are even detergent, dishwasher liquid, and feather duster earrings to remind you of all the times you had to help out with house chores!
The Singaporean store also made two designs to take you back to your schooling days
Liquid paper and eraser earrings for good measure!
A pair of earrings from the Mama Shop line retail for SGD11.90 (RM36.24)
The best part? You can mix and match two different designs to make up a pair for the same price!
