Food definitely holds a special place in CNY celebrations. Besides bringing us together, food represents our rich heritage and symbolises our hope and promise for the coming year. Through traditions like reunion dinner and lou sang sessions, we reconnect and renew our bonds with our loved ones.

That's why Celcom is hosting Malaysia's first-ever virtual potluck and lou sang session!

Dubbed the Chinese New Year Grand Union, this virtual event will allow us all to celebrate our connections from wherever we are.

Plus, Celcom has also released a touching festive film that reflects on the moments of hardship and struggle from our past that brought us all together.

Watch it below:

The heartwarming video starts with a little girl asking her grandmother if they will be celebrating Chinese New Year this year. Grandma not only reassures little Wei Wei that they will, but also reminds her that no matter how tough or difficult things can get, there is nothing we cannot overcome when we are together.

At the end of the day, Chinese New Year is not just about welcoming a new year, it's a time to celebrate our bonds too.

Make sure to join the Celcom Chinese New Year Grand Union on 10 February! Gong xi, gong xi!
