Every child deserves a safe place to call home. For one 10-year-old boy in Malaysia, that sense of home was almost taken away before a remarkable turn of events brought him back to the people who raised him.
Earlier this year, OrphanCare was entrusted with a deeply emotional and complex case involving a young boy who had been unwanted since birth.
The case was recently shared on social media by OrphanCare, a non-profit organisation dedicated to ensuring children grow up in loving, permanent families.
Shortly after the boy was born, he was taken in by a close friend of his biological mother.
What started as an act of compassion turned into something much bigger. For nearly 10 years, this family became his entire world.
"They were the ones who loved, cared, and nurtured for him," OrphanCare shared.
They were there for everything, from his first day of school to his milestones, as well as his ups and downs.
To him, they weren't just caregivers; they were home.
