At their launch event, we got a first-hand look and experience of the brand's latest innovation, while also learning about the importance of sun protection.
The key difference of Avène's Ultra Fluid SPF range: Its water-light texture!
Designed with an ultra-fluid formula that's twice as light, the sunscreen gets absorbed by your skin in just one second, disappearing almost instantly without leaving behind a greasy or heavy finish.
The refreshed Ultra Fluid range now comes in four variants, catering to different lifestyles and skin needs
1. Invisible SPF50
This sunscreen offers four hours of hydration with an invisible matte finish that's suitable and comfortable for daily wear.
2. All-New: Oil Control SPF50
This newly launched sunscreen holds up even in hot and humid conditions, offering up to 14 hours of mattifying effect with a dry-touch finish while helping regulate excess sebum.
3. Perfector SPF50+
If you prefer a little complexion enhancement, this sunscreen helps evens out your skin tone and doubles as an excellent makeup base.
4. Radiance SPF50+
This product delivers up to eight hours of glow with a subtly tinted finish to give you a healthy and fresh-faced look.
Beyond its lightweight feel, the new range of products feature science-backed protection
The sun's HEV blue light radiation has a wavelength higher than 400 to 450nm, penetrating deep into the skin. When combined with UVA, it generates one and a half times the oxidative stress, leading to hyperpigmentation.
At the heart of the Avène Ultra Fluid range is its exclusive filter, TriAsorB. Developed over the course of 20 years, it provides ultra-broad-spectrum protection, not only against UVB and UVA, but also extending to HEV blue light (wavelengths up to 450nm)!
This helps protect the skin from premature ageing, hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and long-term damage caused by both the sun and everyday screen exposure.
The formulations are also free from alcohol, silicone, and controversial filters, reflecting Avène's commitment to cleaner skincare that's suitable for everyday use.
Besides that, Avène also highlighted their ocean-friendly approach, ensuring that high-performance sun protection can go hand in hand with environmental responsibility.
Following the launch, we sat in on an educational session led by Dr Syairah, who shared insights into the effects of UV rays and HEV blue light on the skin
Guests also got to engage in an interactive experience zone, where they got to test the new Ultra Fluid range for themselves.
From product testing and skin analysis consultations to UV screen demonstrations and UV level tests, the stations showcased how the lightweight formula fits seamlessly into everyday life while delivering high-performance protection.
To wrap up the afternoon, there was also a DIY pouch charm activity and QR code trivia session before some photo opportunities and collecting exclusive event goodies to bring home.
