KTMB Announces Special Trains To Hat Yai From RM95 Onwards

KTM Berhad (KTMB) has arranged a special train service from KL Sentral to Hat Yai, Thailand, which will be operating on specific dates throughout the year

Holiday-goers can enjoy a four-day trip from just RM95 one way (seated). Alternatively, you can book a sleeper train for RM109 (upper berth) and RM119 (lower berth) one way.

The MySawasdee train will be running from KL Sentral to Hat Yai and returning on these eight dates:

  • 11 April - 14 April
  • 31 May - 3 June
  • 5 July - 8 July
  • 31 October - 3 November
  • 29 November - 2 December
  • 6 December - 9 December
  • 13 December - 16 December
  • 23 December - 26 December
MySawasdee is a special charter train service that makes less stops than the regular ETS trains, which means that passengers will save on travel time.

Starting at KL Sentral, the MySawasdee train will stop in Tanjung Malim, Ipoh, Taiping, and Padang Besar stations

Passengers will have to disembark at Padang Besar station to pass through Malaysian and Thai immigration before boarding the same train again and completing the rest of the journey.

The train will leave from KL Sentral at 10.50pm (Malaysian time) at night and arrive at 8.50am (Thailand time) the following morning.

On the way back from Hat Yai, the train will depart at 10.20am (Thailand time) and arrive at KL Sentral at 10.52pm (Malaysian time) on the same day.

You can start booking tickets from the fourth of every month for the following month.

You can buy tickets on the KTMB Mobile app or on their official website.

Select 'KL Sentral' as your origin station and 'Hat Yai' as your destination, then choose the dates listed previously on the ticket sale opening dates. Passengers can also choose a starting station other than KL Sentral as stated in the fare table.

Do note that KTMB reserves the right to amend the ticket purchase date at any time without prior notice.
