If you are looking for home renovation inspiration, this three-storey house makeover in Petaling Jaya is quite a dream

Interior design company Yong Studio turned the 10-year-old semi-D house into a completely modern home

According to Atap, the spacious 3,000sqft property was given a rustic, minimalist new look.

It has lots of natural light, open spaces, and a bright white facade with black, grey, and wooden accents

In keeping with the minimalist concept, the designers also included hidden doors around the house to create a wide sense of space

Yong Studio told SAYS that the makeover took them about eight months to complete

They created living spaces that look simple and practical, and yet warm and cosy.

On the first floor, they made a gym room and redesigned the living room and bedroom.

The bedroom was extended to fit a small study and given a hidden door that leads to the bathroom.

The master bedroom on the highest floor is even more gorgeous with its accented wall and dark fittings

They created a walk-in wardrobe and a bathroom with a skylight to provide it with natural light and air ventilation.

However, the best part has got to be the renovation done outdoors

"We basically changed the whole ground floor structure," the local studio told SAYS, adding that their inspiration for the home centred around the swimming pool.

The designers extended the ground floor and created a brand new entertainment room and an outdoor concrete dining area overlooking the pool.

They hoped that the swimming pool would be a space for the homeowners to enjoy spending quality time with friends and family.
