1. Terrase Cafe & Bistro

While most know of Happy Mansion's cafes, there's another in the Section 17 area called Terrase Cafe & Bistro, which is both a cafe and a bar.

Reviews rave about their signature duck confit made by their award-winning chef. Their specially designed skylight roof allows for natural light to stream in while you enjoy brunch or sip on cocktails beneath the stars at night.

2. La Cour

At La Cour, you can sit by floor-to-ceiling glass windows or their lovely family-friendly courtyard. One review noted that the area is cosy yet spacious enough for physical distancing. However, some said that the parking is limited.

3. Apollo Dining

Perfect for special occasions, this restaurant in Bangsar serves fusion cuisine. It's said to have a slight fine dining atmosphere and prices are on the steeper side.

Some of the dishes they have include Chicken Percik Roulade, Chilli Crab Squid Ink Aglio Olio, and Duck Risotto, among others.

4. The Farm Foodcraft

The Farm Foodcraft is filled with indoor plants, making you feel like you're dining inside a greenhouse. The restaurant has a farm-to-table concept, using vegetables and herbs growing within their urban farm in the restaurant, as well as local farms.

There's also a separate section with a bar, serving cocktails and other alcoholic beverages.

5. Tapestry

It's easy to see why Tapestry attracts a crowd. From natural light cascading through glass windows lining their ceiling-high brick wall, to long drapes adorning the cafe, you'll feel like you're dining in a lavish courtyard.

6. Daun KL

This cosy cafe is a lovely place for a date or a catchup with friends. The atmosphere overall is relaxing but when crowded, it can get pretty noisy as a result of the small space. They do serve good cakes, coffee, and other tea time snacks.

7. BeReal

BeReal is a new cafe in KL serving a variety of cakes and pastries, along with healthy mains. Not to mention their brightly-lit dining area – perfect for those Instagram shots!

8. Kopenhagen Coffee

Kopenhagen Coffee looks like something out of a Scandinavian furniture catalogue, with their modern yet classy interior. They're popular for their coffee.

They have an outlet in Mont Kiara with plenty of natural sunlight. And their outlet in KL Eco City is located within the mall.

9. Nippori Bistro

Although recently launched, Nippori Bistro has already become the talk of the town and raked up some pretty good ratings since. NGL, the food looks amazing.

The restaurant takes on a European-style interior, with its high ceilings and eccentric decorations, such as a large mural of a curvaceous Mona Lisa sipping on wine and animal portraits. They serve a fusion of Japanese and Western dishes.

10. The Other Half

The high ceilings and large glass windows give The Other Half a spacious feel. If it's not too hot, you can also opt to sit on their balcony for some fresh air. A good spot to add to the cafe-hopping list!

11. Tujoh

I don't know which I love more – Tujoh's decorative partition lined with vintage electronics or the greenery and immense sunlight that enters through their roof. They're definitely a pleasant neighbourhood cafe with a good variety of food, coffee, and desserts.

12. Half & Hāfu

Half & Hāfu is a relatively new cafe that doubles up as a hair salon in PJ. They offer different cakes every week along with their signature mocha with dry bitter orange drink.

They're still considered a pretty new spot for the area, so it's worth checking them out before they become more popular.

13. leaf & co

You'll find rays of natural light streaming through the centre of this cafe in KL. Attached to a heritage hostel, they're said to have once been a pre-war shop lot, adding to the rustic and old school charm that the cafe gives off.

14. Birch

Birch has beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows along with a spacious interior, making it a well-lit space for photo-taking with friends and family. It's a cafe during the day and a cocktail bar at night.

15. New Chapter By The Owls Cafe

Located within Calvary Convention Centre is New Chapter By The Owls Cafe, which is known for serving waffles, among other desserts and meals. At certain areas of the cafe, there are large glass windows where you can overlook a golf course while you dine.

16. The Glass House - Specialty Coffee

Got a project or a meeting with a client? This unassuming two-storey cafe in Metropolitan Square is literally called Glass House and is said to serve good coffee and cakes.

According to several reviews, the cafe's large glass windows allow customers to enjoy just the right amount of sunlight while still feeling cool. They're only open on weekdays.

17. POLA-DOLA

Even when it rains, this glasshouse-themed cafe in Setia Alam looks cosy. Aside from typical Western cafe food, they serve nasi goreng with sambal udang, lamb stew, bread and butter pudding, and a variety of cakes.
