Located along an alley in Taman United, Old Klang Road is a small hidden private kitchen that blends with its surroundings

Covered in greenery, the entrance of Kojitsu Kitchen is almost easy to miss if not for its small sign just outside.

As you enter the archway, you'll be greeted with a homey interior and a cosy ambience.

Lined with rows of bookshelves, the interior of the shop consists of brick walls, rustic wooden tables and chairs, and old school terrazzo floors that remind us of our grandparents' homes

Having opened in 2022, Kojitsu Kitchen serves Japanese cuisine fused with local flavours and ingredients

According to several reviews, the chef recommends grilled saba mackerel served with coconut rice and toppings, Negi Buta Meshi, which is Japanese braised pork belly rice, grilled chicken paired with vegetable puree and pickles served with basmati rice, and Karaage rice.

They also serve their signature tamago omelette with bonito flakes and deep fried egg rolls with chicken ham. For dessert, he makes fresh strawberry mochi from scratch.

However, check in with the chef before you order, as the dishes are subject to the ingredients of the day.

Kojitsu Kitchen is only open on weekdays from 1pm to 9.30pm. Walk-ins are not allowed.
