2 Women Found Dead Inside Car Were Best Friends Who Were Missing Since 5 July
Police said that they have not found any criminal elements yet.
The two women, whose bodies were found in the front passenger seats of an SUV parked near a residential area in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, yesterday, 10 July, were reported missing since Friday, 5 July
Seberang Perai Tengah police chief ACP Helmi Aris said their families had lodged missing persons reports.
"Both the deceased were best friends," he was quoted as saying by the New Straits Times.
One was aged 25 and the other was 30.
Police said that they have not found any criminal elements yet
"They were found lying inside the car dead. Checks in the surrounding area did not lead to the discovery of any weapons or other items which can suggest criminal elements," he said.
The case is being investigated as sudden death while the police wait for the post-mortems results.
Police have urged those with information to come forward to assist in the investigation.
