Bodies Of 2 Women Found Inside A Car In Penang. They Have Been Dead For More Than 5 Days
Both of them were in their 20s.
At around 5.30pm on Wednesday, 10 July, a passerby noticed an SUV parked near a residential area in Taman Sri Rambai, Bukit Mertajam.
However, when he peeked inside, he was shocked by what he saw.
After the man alerted the authorities, a team from the Perda Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the scene. They unlocked the vehicle's doors to find bodies of two women in the front passenger seats, reported the New Straits Times.
"We have handed the case over to the police for further investigation," a spokesperson from the Penang Fire and Rescue Department said.
It is believed the two women had been dead for more than five days
According to Harian Metro, their bodies were bloated and emitting a strong odour.
Both women are said to be in their 20s.
While one of the deceased is believed to be from Negeri Sembilan, their identities have not yet been confirmed, reported Berita Harian.
Their bodies have been sent to Bukit Mertajam Hospital for post-mortem.
