Susila Appahu hasn't been the same since her younger sister, Rajeswary Appahu, was found dead in her condominium unit on 5 July

The 34-year-old sister couldn't hold back her tears while speaking about Esha, as the social media influencer and teacher was known. The 29-year-old was relentlessly cyberbullied on TikTok.

According to Susila, Esha was a lovely girl who used her platform for good.

"What happened to my little sister should not happen to any girl. Because of social media, we lost our sister. She was a lovely girl. She wouldn't decide to take her own life," she told a Tamil news portal.

Susila shared that the family hasn't been able to understand why she took her own life.

"She used social media for good and positive things. She prayed to Shiva and did things that helped people. That's what she used her platform for.

"But because people are free to express their opinions on TikTok, they said things they shouldn't have, and as a result, she is no longer with us," Vanakkam Malaysia quoted her as saying.

Susila said that while Esha was strong, she could no longer endure the incessant bullying that had been going on for weeks

"Everyone bullied her because she was a woman. A lot of [the bullying] came out on TikTok; they cursed, tainted her name, and sullied her reputation. She couldn't take it," Susila stated.

The elder sister pleaded for justice for her sister

"I hope that no girl will have to go through this. Nobody should speak ill of her, because she was not someone who made bad decisions. She lived by her belief in Shiva, and she's gone to be with Shiva," Susila said.

"We don't want any girl to go through this on social media. That's all we ask.

"Let my sister's case be the last."
