29-Year-Old Malaysian Artist Killed After Her Car Crashed Into A Tree On Jalan Kuchai Lama

The late night accident happened after Emily Kong lost control of her vehicle.

According to The Star Online, the 29-year-old lost control of her car and crashed into a tree in front of the NSK Trade City Kuchai Lama

About nine minutes after the accident, the Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call, following which a team from the Seputeh fire station was dispatched.

"We managed to pull the victim out of the vehicle before she was pronounced dead at the scene," a spokesperson for the Fire and Rescue Department was quoted as saying.

The actress reportedly suffered severe injuries to her head

The English daily reported that her body was sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for a post-mortem, where her family members were too distraught to speak to reporters.

The late singer's wake service has been scheduled for 8.30pm on Sunday and Monday. The funeral service has been scheduled at 10am on Tuesday.
