63-Year-Old Businessman Shot Dead After Leaving A Game Of Mahjong In Mont Kiara
Three gunshots were heard before the deceased was seen lying in a pool of blood.
A 63-year-old businessman was gunned down yesterday, 12 July, after playing Mahjong at his friend's house in Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur
Brickfields police chief ACP Amihizam Abdul Shukor said in a statement that they were alerted of the incident at around 12.09am.
After leaving his friend's house, the deceased reportedly walked past a witness towards the parking lot, which is located outside condominium Amarin Kiara.
"Not long after, the witness heard the sound of three gunshots coming from the direction of the parking lot," stated Amihizam.
Following the sound of gunshots, the witness is said to have found the elderly man lying in a pool of blood
The statement goes on to say that the deceased did not have any criminal record.
The motive behind the killing is being investigated and the investigators are working on tracking down the assailant. No further details have been provided as of writing.
The case is being probed under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
