A Singaporean passenger recently got the scolding of his life from his private e-hailing driver when he fiddled with the car's settings without permission before doing so

According to a nearly three-minute TikTok video uploaded by @cseetoh15, the fiery exchange began when he adjusted the car's air conditioning settings, the car seat's position, and the car window, which clearly infuriated the driver.

"You touch my air con without [my] permission. You should have asked me 'Can I lower it?' then I would have allowed you to," the driver shouted.

The passenger, named Christopher See Toh, protested by saying that he only shifted the car seat because his legs were long and he needed the extra leg room. He also said that he adjusted the air conditioning settings because he felt that it was "blowing too strongly".

However, the driver was not having it and declared that See was no longer his passenger and he wanted him to get out of his car.

However, See stood his ground and insisted that the driver send him to his destination, saying that he was not getting out of the car

Upon hearing See's refusal to leave the ride, the driver threatened to call the police on him, to which See encouraged him to do so and continued to say he would not get out of the car.

The driver then completely lost his temper and screamed that See had "thick skin".

"People ask you to get out of the car yet you still sit in it. Thick skin! People tell you to get out, means get out," the driver yelled, while repeating the insult several times.

Disturbed by his behaviour, See asked what was wrong with the driver, to which he responded by saying that this was his car, and therefore, he could kick See out if he wanted to.

"This is my car, not yours. [Do] you think you're sitting in a taxi?"

Fed up with the interaction, See finally demanded the driver pull up at a police station so that he could file a police report against the driver

Complying with the request, the driver agreed to drive See to the police station.

"I'll ask the police to pull you out!" the driver threatened.

He soon pulled up to a HDB estate parking lot where a police post was presumably nearby. Upon stopping the car, the driver began to point violently and scream at See to chase him out of the car.

See promptly got out of the car and the driver immediately pulled out of the parking space and drove off.

See said that he was shocked at the driver's outburst and claimed that he was never rude or demanding towards the driver

Speaking with Mothership, See said that the driver was already behaving erratically and driving dangerously throughout the ride.

"He started shouting at me and was looking at me while driving while fiddling [with] his GPS," See said.

See made good of his word and filed a police report as well as a complaint with the ride-hailing platform's customer support.

The company has since replied to See's complaint and apologised on behalf of the driver, stating that they will potentially suspend the driver and take "specific actions" against him, if they deem it necessary.

See was also offered a 10% discount voucher for his troubles.

Despite the compensation, See claims that he is still not satisfied with the outcome of the situation and the company's response.
