Groom-To-Be Arrested For Raping His Youngest Sister Since She Was 11 Years Old

Their mother begged for him to be released so he could continue with his wedding this weekend.

A groom-to-be in Melaka has been charged by the Ayer Keroh Sessions Court for allegedly raping his youngest sister since she was 11 years old

According to Astro Awani, the 26-year-old security guard committed the offences against his sister at their family home in Jasin on four separate occasions - in June 2014, March 2018, May 2019, and most recently in April this year.

The alleged victim is now a 17-year-old Form Five student.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the five charges read against him in front of judge Norma Ismail on Tuesday, 14 July

The eldest of four siblings was charged with committing four counts of incest which is punishable under Section 376B of the Penal Code.

If found guilty, he faces a maximum penalty of 30 years' jail and whipping upon conviction.

He also faced a separate charge under Section 354 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation and forcefully touching the same victim.

The charge carries a jail term of up to 10 years, a fine, or whipping, or any of the two punishments.

The 26-year-old also appealed to the court to grant him bail to get married this weekend

Astro Awani reported that his mother begged in court for her son to be released on bail to continue with his wedding.

The court granted bail of RM10,000 with additional conditions and set 17 August for re-mention of the case.

The accused, who was unrepresented, posted bail.
