Man In Melaka Criticised For Bringing His Pet Dog To A Self-Service Laundromat
The person who took the video asserted that dogs and pigs should not be brought to public places, whereas cats are permissible.
A man was recently criticised when he brought his pet dog to a self-service laundry in Krubong Perdana, Melaka
The incident came to light when a video of the occurrence was posted on a social media platform, according to a report in New Straits Times.
In the video, the dog can be seen sitting in the laundry basket as the man loads his clothes into the washing machine.
Outraged by the man's action, the user who recorded the video, alongside another customer, confronted the man for bringing his pet dog to a public place
"You know this is a public place and dogs should not be brought to a public place. Why did you bring it in?" questioned the user.
However, the Chinese man defended himself by saying that he had witnessed other patrons bringing their pet dogs to the particular laundry.
He also stated that he could not leave his dog alone at home when the user inquired about the man's reason for bringing his pet dog to do laundry.
Despite that, the user asserted that dogs and pigs should not be brought to public places, whereas cats are permissible.
The video swiftly gained attention, drawing various opinions from netizens
"Why [are] cats [allowed]? Any [kind of animals should not be] allowed!" raged one user.
"[Please respect the hygiene concerns of others as well], no pets nor animals [should be allowed to be brought into the laundry]," said another user.
"What if there are people who are allergic to animal fur? If you think religious issues are too sensitive to be discussed, then think about people's lives. This is such a bad behaviour," said a netizen.
