A renovation handyman from Penang struck gold after placing bets on his bosses' car registration numbers, winning an astonishing RM10.6 million from the Toto 4D Jackpot 1
According to the New Straits Times, the man said he and his colleagues had long admired the luxurious cars their bosses drove.
"The bosses drive nice European cars to work. That made all of us envious, and we all dreamt of driving one too," he said.
Inspired by this, he began betting on their car registration numbers — 9114 and 2230 — for many years, leading to his jackpot win on 26 May
When he recently collected his winnings at Sports Toto Malaysia Lottery Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur, he expressed his contentment and future plans
He mentioned that he plans to take it easy, enjoying his newfound wealth with his family.
"I am content knowing that I have become a multi-millionaire, and it is time for me to enjoy life with my family," he said.
The lucky punter had purchased a System 4 ticket, which not only netted him RM10,627,969.15 but also an additional RM672 as a System Play bonus.
