On Sunday, 21 January, a disabled woman (OKU) was found dead in a heartbreaking condition after being beaten with a wooden object, shaved bald, and ironed repeatedly in Seri Kembangan

Following the death of the 20-year-old woman, police in the Klang Valley have arrested seven suspects, aged 25 to 79, to assist with the investigation, reported Kosmo!

Serdang district police chief ACP A A Anbalagan said that the victim's sister informed them of the incident at 12.12pm on Sunday, 12 January.

"The suspected motive for the murder is that the victim, who held an OKU card, was said to have scolded and pinched the child of one of the suspects.

"The victim was beaten with a long stick and ironed repeatedly, causing injuries to her body," he said in a statement yesterday, 22 January.

Anbalagan added that a forensic investigation is currently ongoing at Sultan Idris Shah Hospital, and the exact cause of the woman's death has not been determined

He clarified that an initial investigation discovered no familial relationship between the suspects and the victim, but revealed that one of the suspects had been paid to care for the victim for the past three years, receiving RM200 per month from the victim's mother.

"The male and female suspects have been remanded for seven days, starting from Monday, 22 January, until Sunday, 28 January, to assist in the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

"Three of the suspects, aged 25 to 79 years, have been released on police bail," said Anbalagan

He also urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward or call the investigating officer, Assistant Supt Rosnani, at 018-2771866.
